Western Mass Real Estate

I am a Broker Associate with Prudential Sawicki Real Estate in Amherst, MA. Call me at 413-531-7129.  Publisher of Belchertown-News.com and co-founder of the Jessica's Boundless Playground project.

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent Western Mass real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.

That said, in my experience as a Amherst real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.

I've been selling real estate in Western Massachusetts for the last eight years. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1996 from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FLA and a Master's degree in Anthropology from California State Univeresity, Hayward (now East Bay) in Hayward, CA.

After working for three years throughout the United States on various archaeological projects, I started my real estate career. However, my start in real estate was not in sales. While working on an archaeological project in New Orleans, LA a friend from high school got me a job doing disaster relief home inspections for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Although the pay was good, it was not consistent as the President of the United States needed to declare a particular area a disaster before FEMA could step in. So after moving back to Massachusetts in 2002, I took the classes and passed the test to get my real estate sales license. Later I took and passed the broker's license exam. I have also taken the time to learn as much about the real estate sales industry as possible and have earned the presitigious Certified Residential Specialist designation, the Certified Buyer's Agent designation, the Certified New Homes Specialist designation, the Loss Mitigation Certification, and the National Association of REALTORS Green designation.

Since I started in real estate in 2003, I have worked with all sorts of buyers and sellers. There is something to learn with each transaction. I have handled everything from a simple purchase to a complex commercial deal. I have been trained by the National Trust for Historic Preservation about historic homes, which complimented my experience as a professional archaeologist. I have even been instrumental in establishing a new subdivision.

Each type of client requires a specific set of skills and I have taken the time to acquire a broad skill set so that I can serve my clients with superior service every time.
